Eligible Attendees

Immigrants without an adequate command of the German language possessing a written confirmation (Certificate of Eligibility) from the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (BAMF) or another provider of basic benefits can attend courses.


Course Duration

The general integration course consists of a language course with 600 hours and an orientation course with 100 hours.

The literacy course (Integrationskurs ALPHA) consists of a language course with 900 hours and an orientation course with 100 hours


Funding / Co-Payment

Eligible participants receive funding from the BAMF

pay a contribution of € 2.20 for every lesson


Course levels / module system

The course is divided into six modules of 100 hours each and leads from beginner level A1 to level B1 of the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages). The first three modules form the basic course, followed by three modules of the advanced course. The ALPHA integration course is preceded by three modules. If you pass the final German test for immigrants (DTZ) at level A2, you can take a repeat course of 300 lessons.
