1. Minimum Age
Participants must have turned 16.

2. Contract and Placement
The agreement comes into ef fect on receipt of the signed registration form by Sprachforum. Sprachforum reserves the right to turn down an application for registration by means of a written declaration within four weeks of receipt of the registration form Students are tested on the first day of the course for final placement in an appropriate course.

3. Course Fees
Course fees are listed on the enclosed sheet. Payment should be made at the latest four weeks before the course begins, unless otherwise agreed.

4. Changes
In case of alterations, the first one is free of charge. However, for any further alterations, a fee of DM 75,- will be charged.

5. Cancellation
Cancellation must be made in writing. If this is done up to four weeks before the course begins, there will be a handling fee of DM 150,-. Cancellations after this time will not be accepted.

6. Notice of Termination
In terms of § 626 BGB (German Civil Code) the contract can be terminated by the participant. In this case, course fees proportional to the time expired are payable in addition to a fee od DM 200,-.

7. Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays
There are no lessons at weekends. There is no legal claim to time lost due to public holidays.

8. Liability
Sprachforum is liable within the framework of the usual legal conditions for damage caused by members of ist staff. This liability is restricted to the Sprachforum premises only.

9. Regulations of residence and visa requirements
It is the obligation of the course participant to be sure that his or her stay in Germany is legal. Sprachforum-Augsburg assumes that participants have the necessary legal papers to enter Germany and to reside there for the duration of their studies.

10. Insurance Cover
The course fee does not include insurance cover. It is the responsibility of the student to insure himself/herself against illness, accident and personal liability.

11. Accommodation
If needed, Sprachforum will arrange accommodation for foreign students. This accommodation will be covered by a separate agreement between landlord/hotel/family and the participant or his legal guardian. For claims arising from this agreement, no liability can be accepted by Sprachforum.

12. Place of contract fulfilment and of jurisdiction is Augsburg.
